Why do I love nature?
When I was a child, my father loved nature very much. He liked to go on trips and read informative magazines, books and watch movies about flora and fauna. He also took us to the zoo many times. We always eagerly admired the many interesting exotic animals. For the ones we didn’t know, we looked them up together at home in the lexicons. I enjoyed it very much. This was probably the reason why I wanted to be a naturalist and biologist as a child. Later, this idea changed due to the circumstances and the labor market at the time. It seemed that the IT career would better secure my future, so I became a student majoring in IT at a vocational secondary school in Budapest. Admiring nature remained a hobby. I still love to explore new places, go on hikes and take photos.
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

Zoo Brno
The zoo was built in Brno-Bystrc, on the 41.2-hectare Monk’s Hill (Mniší hora). It opened its doors in 1953. It is called Zoological garden. I come to the zoo at least once every year, there is always something new that is worth coming for. From the entrance, the road leads to the “Restaurace U Tygra”. It means “restaurant near the tiger”. This place is decorated very creatively and it has a pleasant atmosphere. You can even see the tiger exhibition! The service is very good, the food is tasty, there is a children’s menu and they have very good refreshments.
The Zoo Train stops in front of the restaurant. The train takes us to the top of the hill to the Exotic Birds pavilion. It simplifies the zoo tour, as people do not have to climb the mountain, but instead walk from top to bottom much more easily. All ages love it, but children especially enjoy it. There is a playground and petting zoo for the kids near the pavilion. They often organize educational events and activities for school children. New exhibitions are opened frequently. The latest ones were Katanga Lion, Olive Baboons, Red Pandas and the African Village.
