Visiting Bošovice
Bošovice is a muncipality and village in South Moravia, located 25 km southeast of Brno. The village lies on a hilly landscape next to the Ždánice forest. The Ždánice Forest Nature Park is also located in this area. From this mountain area, we can see Slavkov u Brna, the scene of the former Battle of Austerlitz, and the wonderful mountain ranges of the Pálava Mountains.
A bit of tropical nature
The wonderful oasis of the small village is the Parrot Zoo, which was founded in 2008. What makes it even more special is that it is the only parrot zoo in Europe. In this beautiful tropical natural environment, you can find many different species of parrots from America, Africa and Australia. My favorite is the South American Amazon Pavilion, where the birds come from Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Cuba, the Bahamas, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina.
